Human beings are essentially the same and it's our experiences that make us very different from each other. Throughout our lives we act in ways that we are not always consciously aware. In fact when we become aware of our behaviour we have good intensions of making changes, but find this difficult. In most cases we go back to our old ways and accept our 'lot'. After all we are creatures of habit.

Human beings are great experts at attempting change. We habitual try and then give up. In our mind we have boxes full of experiences where we have wanted to do something different and failed. To be reminded later when we try again.

There is something stopping us. We want to improve and reach our full potential. It's almost as if there is a force at play. Something preventing you from breaking a habit of a lifetime. Some hypnotherapists believe this is the subconscious mind not in agreement with your conscious mind. This is like having the 'want' to change (conscious) but 'something' is making it very difficult for you to do this (subconscious).

The subconscious mind is not a physical place in your brain but a group of processes that you are not aware of. Some are built up from your previous experiences or habits which you have learnt. Did you know, some subconscious processes keep you alive? They control your breathing and regulate your body. You only notice  your breathing after reading this. By the end of reading this page you will forget about it again and it will become a subconscious process.

Hypnosis can help you make lasting and positive changes by addressing the subconscious mind. I believe that every one should live to their true potential.
